What is the quickest acting , most convenient birth control?

My daughter is in Russia and when she comes home she only has 28 days for her birth control to be effective. What is the most convenient form that will work in that length of time. She has never been on birth control before. What are her options? She tried getting the birth control pills in Russia but that isn't really working. What is the quickest acting , most convenient birth control?
the dep shot. only takes 48 hours i believe and stays effective for 3 months... most pills take a full 28 day cycle. What is the quickest acting , most convenient birth control?
Most options need four weeks to become effective.

Condoms would be good to use.
The pill will become effective while she's with you. It only takes a week or two to become effective.

However, your daughter needs to understand that the pill will only protect her from pregnancy. I know many people in Russia and the former Soviet states, and I know that AIDs and other STDs are very, very high over there. She is in more danger from contracting one of these than she is getting pregnant. Condoms with spermicide are her best bet by far.
well, it usually wants you to be on it for 90 days to be effective, the only other ways are abstinence which i guess is not an option, then try some of those new ring things until it's been long enough...aren't there shots and patches now a days?
