What happens if you suddenly stop taking birth control?

I have been taking yaz for about a month and its causing horrible side effects. When is the best time to stop taking it?What happens if you suddenly stop taking birth control?
you run the risk of getting pregnant (unless of course that is your aim)

different routes of contraception take different amounts of time to get out of the system but essentially (unless it is an implant or depo-injection etc etc) the hormone levels will fall and it no longer does its job.

you may also notice changes in periods (as pils can often make it lighter)

but it won't actually do you any damage to just stop (that's what most women do if they are aiming to get pregnant)What happens if you suddenly stop taking birth control?
Now.

It'll probably take a while for the hormones to get out of your body. Your periods might be a little screwy for a while.
Im not exactly sure when the best time is, I would talk with your doctor.
